A master project: development of gas filed and gas production


The development of Yuzhno-Medvedevskoye and Yuzhno-Hrestishchenskoye fields together with geological prospecting in eight areas on the territory of Ukraine is one of priority lines of activity for the group of companies.

A master project on gas field development and gas production suggests the development of fields, extraction and cleaning of 300 thousand cubic meters of gas per day, transporting of this gas to Ukrainian gas-transport system by a pipeline that is planned to be constructed, and gas sales in the domestic market of Ukraine.

Estimated project costs is around 780 mln. hryvnias.


Yuzhno-Medvedevskaya area

Geological description:

It is located on the territory of Novovodolazhskiy and Kegichevskiy regions of Khar'kov province 12 km to the south-east from Staroverovka village.

Kotlyarevskoye gas condensate field was found in 1971 in southern part of Medvedevskaya structure being complicated with salt core, along the reflecting perm and upper carbon horizons. A major productive gas-bearing G6 horizon lying within the range of depths between 3,654 and 4,181 m belongs to deposits of keramitskaya suite of lower perm. Collector rocks are presented by sandstones with 10-15% porosity and permeability ranging from 0.12 to 1.1-10-3 μm2.

The found gas reserves are bedded, lithologic and tectonically screened ones. A horizon gas has a high methane content (СН4 – 91.63) and low carbon dioxide content.

Yuzhno-Hrestishchenskaya area

Geological description:

It is located in Krasnogradskiy region, Kharkov province, 14 km to the north-east from town of Krasnograd.

Operations performed in Yuzhno-Hrestishenskaya area include geological studies using prospecting seismology in order to detect Hrestishchenskiy stock borders, to map radial breaking-down damages and prepare for deep prospect drilling with the aim to open productive horizons. A drilling depth for prospect wells is planned to be 4000 m.
